A Message from the Administrator

Dear Moab Charter School Families and Friends,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you to a brand-new school year ahead! As the Administrator of Moab Charter School, I am deeply honored to serve our students, staff, and families as we grow and learn together in this unique and vibrant community.

Education has been the cornerstone of my life’s work for over 30 years. My journey began in the northeast of England, where I was raised in a small town that shares the same close-knit, supportive feel that drew me to Moab. I’ve had the privilege of working in schools across the United Kingdom and three different states in the U.S., always in roles dedicated to uplifting others, from school librarian and paraprofessional to technology specialist and now administrator. No matter the title, my purpose has always been clear: to support students and educators in ways that help them thrive.

I moved to Moab just over a year ago to be closer to family, and I quickly fell in love with the red rock landscapes and the powerful sense of community here. Moab feels like home. It reminds me so much of the town I grew up in - full of heart, resilience, and a deep sense of connection.

At Moab Charter School, my mission is to set both teachers and students up for success. We are committed to improving lives by creating confident, curious, and compassionate problem-solvers, students who will grow into thoughtful contributors and lifelong learners. We believe every child deserves to be known, supported, and challenged, and that every educator deserves the tools and encouragement to be their very best.

Even as we continue to evolve and grow in partnership with Athenian Schools, Moab Charter School remains rooted in what makes it special: familiar faces, a strong community spirit, and the same heart at its core. We honor our past while looking boldly to the future, and I could not be more proud to be on this journey with all of you.

Whether you’re a returning family or new to our school, thank you for being part of our story. We are building something meaningful here at MCS, and I look forward to a joyful, connected, and impactful year ahead.
